Finally got to the DMV to transfer the title and registered the bike. 

The DMV wanted to inspect the bike since it was from out of state.  The guy was looking for the frame number and I had to explain that there was no frame number prior to 1970.

He pointed out to me that it looked like the frame had been repainted.

That's when I whipped out an 8x10 photo showing  the condition of the bike when I bought it. I said "Yeah, everything has been either repainted, re-plated, or polished.

This is how the bikelooked when I purchased it from the widow of the owner. I stumbled on the bike by pure luck. The bike was posted in the Motorcycle Classifieds group at Yahoo Groups. The post included three photos and was initially just a request for a show of interest to get a feel for what it could bring.
